Public Areas Attendant

Position Summary

● Gets daily assignment sheet and cleaning supplies/equipment. ● Ensure that all public areas and grounds are clean, properly presented and free of hazards at all times. ● Responsible for cleaning and maintaining care and appearance of all public areas, including, entrances, reception, stairs, landings, corridors, restrooms etc.

● Dust and wipe walls, doors and keeping them mark free at all times. ● Ensure that all materials are used and stored correctly ● Ensure that all hazards and potential hazards are reported immediately to the shift supervisor and rectified ● Stock Public Areas caddie to standard at the beginning and end of the shift. ● Keep all hallways neat and clean.

● Inspects work equipment to ensure safe and proper operation e.g. vacuum cleaners, shampoo machines, etc. reporting any equipment deficiencies to Supervisor on duty. ● Inspects work areas for maintenance, health and safety deficiencies reporting same to Supervisor on duty. ● Follows safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals.

● Clean windows and sliding doors. ● Ensure baseboards and above doors are cleaned. ● Clean bathrooms, including visible scuff marks on walls, toilets, vanities and floors. ● Dust furniture, including lamp shade seams are in place and knobs are tightened. ● Maintain and care for company property and equipment, preventing wastage.

● Maintain and complete the standard disinfection sheet and submit at the end of shift to the Director of Housekeeping and Public Areas. ● Report malfunctioning equipment, or hazards to the Call Center and Housekeeping Manager immediately. ● Turn in all items left by guests upon check out to Lost & Found immediately. ● Maintains a high standard of conduct and good working relationship with all staff members inside and outside the department.

● Have sound knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the property. ● To carry out any reasonable tasks requested by the Director of Housekeeping and Public Areas, Housekeeping Supervisors or any member of senior leadership.

Qualifications

● High school diploma. ● Previous housekeeping or related experience preferred. ● Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards. ● Physical mobility, stamina, and ability to stand for long periods. ● Ability to lift 50 pounds. ● Ability to follow instructions. ● Professional and polite.

● Well-groomed, professional appearance. ● A team player with a can-do attitude ● Goldwynn operates a twenty-four (24) hour business. Therefore, you will be scheduled to work shifts, which may change from time to time.
