Special Olympics Basketball Coach

Salary: Placement on the appropriate schedule of the Negotiated Agreement for Extra-Curricular activities Job Summary/Responsibilities: Work with the athletic and activities departments at district middle schools in order to schedule practices and events for Special Olympics Assist with coaching basketball team and track team Assist head coach with coordinating practice times, game schedules and relaying parent information Experience in coaching of players, player supervision Strong organizational, collaboration and communication skills Promote teamwork and fair play Working knowledge of specific sport fitness, safety methods, techniques for safe participation of players in their contests Travel between District #202 schools and to events outside of the district is required Must be familiar with the procedures and requirements set forth by Special Olympics of Illinois and complete any necessary training and paperwork required by Special Olympics of Illinois.
