Compensation & Schedule

๐Ÿ’ฐ Salary: $150,000-$175,000 annually ๐Ÿšš Relocation Assistance: Available for qualified candidates (case-by-case basis) ๐ŸŽฏ Annual Bonus: Performance-based bonus incentive plan ๐Ÿ“ฑ Equipment Provided: Company laptop and cell phone ๐Ÿฅ Benefits: Full benefits package โฐ Schedule: 40+ Hours/Week ๐Ÿ“ˆ Additional Schedule Details: Hours will vary based on project demands. Some projects may require 58+ hour work weeks. This role is dedicated full-time to a single project.

The Project Safety Director will lead Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) efforts for a major construction project while overseeing a team of 4-10 safety professionals. This individual will partner closely with senior project leadership, client stakeholders, and field operations teams to drive safety strategy, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

โœ” Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field, OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience โœ” Minimum 13+ years of construction safety experience โœ” CHST certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment โœ” OSHA 30 Certification โœ” Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification โœ” Previous management experience directing safety personnel and project resources โœ” Extensive incident investigation experience โœ” Strong budgeting, planning, delegation, and leadership skills โœ” Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS software applications

Preferred Qualifications

โญ Project Safety Director or Regional Safety Leadership experience โญ Experience overseeing large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, mission critical, or megaproject construction efforts โญ Experience leading safety teams on projects exceeding $500M in value โญ ASP, CSP, STS-C, or additional BCSP credentials โญ Military leadership background โญ Previous experience as a Superintendent or Project Manager with strong safety leadership experience

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, direct, and enforce Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and programs

  • Oversee and mentor a team of 4-10 onsite safety professionals

  • Establish project-wide safety goals and strategic initiatives

  • Partner with project executives and senior leadership to drive safety performance

  • Serve as the primary safety liaison between project leadership and client representatives

  • Lead complex incident investigations and corrective action implementation

  • Coordinate project safety resources, staffing, budgets, and performance objectives

  • Review and improve project safety processes and procedures

  • Conduct leadership-level audits, assessments, and field observations

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to achieve best-in-class safety culture

  • Maintain a consistent presence in both field operations and project offices

  • Coach and develop safety team members to maximize project effectiveness
