TGT Social Science

The TGT Social Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics to students of Class 8, ensuring an engaging and effective learning experience. The role involves lesson planning, classroom management, student assessment, and participation in academic and co-curricular activities.

This position is based in. Chennai, Vanagaram, and requires the candidate to work on-site at the school campus. The teacher will collaborate with other faculty members, coordinate with the academic head, and contribute to curriculum planning and execution. The candidate should be comfortable working in a structured school environment, adhering to academic schedules, examination timelines, and institutional policies Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons for Class 8 Prepare lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards (CBSE/ICSE/State Board as applicable) Conduct assessments, tests, and evaluations Maintain student records and academic progress reports Manage classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment Use teaching aids, digital tools, and activity-based learning methods Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities Collaborate with other teachers for interdisciplinary learning Requirements Required Skill Set Subject Knowledge Strong understanding of History, Geography, Civics, and basic Economics Ability to simplify complex concepts for middle school students Teaching Skills Lesson planning and curriculum delivery Classroom management techniques Student engagement and activity-based teaching Assessment and evaluation methods Technical Skills Basic computer skills (MS Office, presentations) Familiarity with smart boards / digital teaching tools Experience with online teaching platforms (added advantage) Soft Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Patience and adaptability Strong interpersonal skills with students and parents Organizational and time management skills Passion for teaching and student development Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Arts (History/Geography/Political Science or related field) B.
