Position: Compliance Manager Location: Hybrid within Fort Lauderdale (Month to Quarterly in-office) Status: Full Time, W2 About Us We are looking for a highly experienced Compliance Manager to join our dynamic team at Health Insurance Alliance, LLC. What You’ll Do Execute the annual compliance workplan, monitoring the effectiveness of existing controls across the business. Assist the Director of Compliance in designing, documenting, and implementing missing or immature controls, and in remediating gaps identified through monitoring and leveraging technology and AI tools.
Track and report on workplan progress, control-testing results, and open remediation items on a recurring cadence. Conduct regular internal reviews and control testing to confirm business practices align with policy and regulatory requirements. Conduct and document due-diligence reviews of lead buyers, call buyers, and evaluating due-diligence questionnaires and supporting records.
Respond to carrier, consumer, and regulatory inquiries received directly or through third parties such as the Better Business Bureau. Review marketing materials, scripts, and disclosures for compliance with applicable federal and state requirements (including CMS Medicare marketing rules where in scope). Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact on the business, Perform OIG/SAM exclusion-list screening and evaluate background-check and licensing/appointment eligibility across insurance programs.
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports for management on key compliance metrics, and identified issues. Maintain compliance documentation, audit trails, and records in accordance with retention requirements. Handle Do-Not-Call (DNC) customer requests, ensuring opt-outs are honored and documented. What You’ll Bring Ideally 5+ years of demonstrated compliance experience within a health insurance agency, or insurance carrier.
Hands-on experience monitoring controls, testing compliance, and executing (not just designing) a compliance program. Subject matter expert in regulatory requirements of a Health Insurance Agency (including product knowledge of ACA, Medicare & Private Health Insurance). Tech savvy and able to leverage AI tools to automate and enhance our compliance processes and tracking efficiency.
Demonstrated knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to industry standards. Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess processes, identify gaps, and make data-driven recommendations.
Resourceful, problem solver who is self motivated. Active listener and have strong organization and multitasking skills. Continuous learner and interested in staying informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements. Location & Hours Our office is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
We are looking for someone who can work hybrid within Fort Lauderdale, or can travel to the office as needed. Hours of operation will be from 9 AM-5 PM Monday-Friday.
Compensation
