HR Spec (Military)

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a HR SPEC (MILITARY), Position Description Number D2953000 and is part of the CO JFHQ HRO Air, National Guard. This position is located in the JFHQ-State Human Resources Office (HRO). This technician announcement is running concurrently with a DSG announcement, 26-146.

The purpose of this position is to provide management and sustainment advisory services for the Air National Guard (ANG) Full-Time Support (FTS) Title 32 Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) Program(s). Provides advice and support to managers, supervisors, and the HRO on recruitment and placement actions for AGR Personnel. Ensures required selection documentation and information contained thereon is correct including military compatibility; ensures all medical and fitness requirements are met in accordance with existing policies and guidelines for AGR members; checks security requirements; initiates select/non select letters, etc.

Responsible for the timely and accurate administration of voluntary and involuntary separation actions and Army AGR retirement actions. Consults with other Human Resources Specialist to facilitate Full-Time manning reporting. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

Must have at least 12 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following : Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a basic working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and personnel programs. Have knowledge-based competency of human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency. Experienced in using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments. Experiences may include performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data.
