Lab Assistant I

It’s the way you want to be treated. Summary: Performs registration, medical necessity screening, and order entry on specimens received in the laboratory.

Produces reports from the lab information system and correctly routes as required. Handles phone calls received in the laboratory front office. Receives and delivers specimens to laboratory departments in a timely manner. Prepares specimens for analysis, loads automated instruments. Faxes reports as required in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

High School Graduate, or equivalent required. Ability to work as a team player with excellent customer services skills. Previous lab experience preferred. The expected pay for this position is listed below: $16.97 - $20.79 The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
