Wound Care Nurse (RN, Inpatient), Part-Time

Position Highlights: Position: Wound Care Nurse Location: Community Hospital/In Patient Schedule: 24 hours per week Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with wounds, evaluating the type, size, depth, and condition of the wound. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs of each patient and the characteristics of their wounds.

Perform wound dressing changes using aseptic techniques to minimize the risk of infection. Educate patients and their caregivers on proper wound care techniques, including wound cleansing, dressing changes, and signs of infection. Regularly assess and reassess the progress of wound healing, adjusting the treatment plan as needed.

Monitor for signs of infection, complications, or changes in the patient's overall health that may impact wound recovery.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least two (2) years of Medical. Surgical nursing (or equivalent). Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in Colorado. Current certification by Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNB) as a CWOCN, WCN, CWON, or COCN preferred.

Compensation

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $40.00–$00 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Bonus: $5,000 (for nurses with 2 or more years of experience) Additional compensation may be available in the form of discretionary incentive or other compensation programs.

Any such additional compensation is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of the organization based on applicable program terms, individual and/or organizational performance, and other eligibility requirements.
