Patient Financial Counselor

The Patient Financial Counselor is responsible for assisting patients with understanding and resolving financial obligations related to healthcare services. This role provides financial counseling, insurance education, payment arrangement support, financial assistance screening, and cost transparency while delivering compassionate customer service in often sensitive or high-stress situations.

The Patient Financial Counselor must be comfortable handling difficult conversations regarding insurance coverage, outstanding balances, payment expectations, and financial hardships. This position requires professionalism, empathy, emotional intelligence, and the ability to de-escalate challenging interactions while maintaining organizational policies and expectations.
