A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.
Audio Artist II – Speech Production EA SPORTS™ NHL Who We Are EA SPORTS is one of the most iconic brands in entertainment – connecting hundreds of millions around the world to the sports they love through a portfolio of industry-leading video games. EA SPORTS NHL has revolutionised sports gaming for millions of players worldwide.
We've pioneered award-winning creative technology and experiences to connect players to the speed, skill, and heart of the NHL. Role Overview We are looking for an Audio Artist II to join the EA SPORTS NHL Audio team. The primary focus of this role is mastering, organising, and delivering high-quality recorded speech for commentary, voice-over, and other in-game experiences.
You will also support speech-production workflows using AI tools that help the team maintain content at scale. Reporting to the Audio Lead, you will work independently within a defined area, applying editorial judgement and technical discipline to ensure assets meet creative, pipeline, and in-game quality standards. The Challenge Ahead Your challenge will be to turn recorded and generated source material into game-ready assets while maintaining accuracy across naming, metadata, versioning, and delivery.
You will review content critically and work with speech leads, audio leadership, production, and technical partners to resolve issues. You will contribute ideas within your area, help improve established workflows, estimate your work with guidance, and communicate status, dependencies, and risks early.
Who You Are
You are an audio professional with dialogue-editing and mastering skills. You are comfortable working through high volumes of content without losing consistency, and you understand how editorial choices affect clarity, authenticity, and the player experience. You evaluate and integrate new tools through active testing and structured analysis.
You will review audio outputs to identify artifacts and inconsistencies, correct manageable issues through direct editing, and escalate complex problems to the speech team. You will maintain structured asset workflows, integrate team reviews into your daily process, and implement solutions to increase our audio processing pipeline's reliability.
Responsibilities
Master, clean, and quality-check commentary, dialogue, and other speech assets. Use approved speech-generation and processing tools to create or adapt content, then evaluate and prepare outputs to team standards. Identify issues involving noise, level, dynamics, spectral balance, timing, pronunciation, continuity, or processing artifacts.
Maintain accurate naming, metadata, versioning, source files, and delivery structures. Prepare, import, and validate speech assets in game-audio tools, databases, and established pipelines. Track assigned work, provide estimates with lead support, and communicate priorities, dependencies, and schedule risks. Participate in troubleshooting and recommend practical improvements to tools and workflows.
Document processes and share knowledge.
Requirements
Professional experience editing and mastering dialogue, commentary, VO, ADR, broadcast, or comparable speech content. Advanced proficiency with Pro Tools or another professional DAW, including dialogue cleanup, EQ, dynamics, noise reduction, loudness control, and batch workflows. Demonstrated experience evaluating audio to identify subtle quality, consistency, and processing errors.
3+ years of experience managing assets against technical specifications, naming conventions, metadata, and version-control requirements. Experience with game-audio authoring tools, databases, or content pipelines. You will document technical workflows, track project milestones, and coordinate asset deliveries across multiple technical and creative departments.
Experience with modern speech-production, voice-processing, automation, or scripting workflows is an asset.
In Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
