Fire Inspector

Under the supervision of the Chief and Deputy Fire Chief, the incumbent is responsible for enforcing federal, state and tribal mandated fire safety laws and related codes. High School Diploma or General Education (GED). One, to three years’ experience as a certified fire inspector required and a CT Fire Marshall Certification required.

Connecticut Licenses and Certifications: CT, EMT/NREMT, FF-2, CDL or Q Driver’s license, or other states equivalent. Candidate must obtain necessary certifications within first year of hire. Fire Inspector, Fire Service Instructor, Incident Command, Safety Officer, the employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
