Bookkeeper

CCLI is looking for a full time Bookkeeper with a generous heart and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. By joining our team, you will share in the joy of providing “care with dignity and life with hope.” Responsibilities: Enter invoices into accounting system on a timely basis.

Review for accuracy and include supportive documentation (bills, invoices, petty cash slips). Assure invoices are signed. Review and process expense reports as well as review monthly Medicaid billing logs. Reconcile Social Security direct deposits to prepare monthly bank transfer and reconciliation statements. Track client fee accounts receivable.

Prepare cash receipts and general ledger entries. Conduct account analysis. Reconcile/maintain the purchase-of-other services schedule (POS).

Qualifications

HS diploma/GED. 1-2 years relevant work experience including understanding of debits and credits. Competency with Excel with basic formulas. Experience with accounting software is helpful. Strong organizational skills, including follow-up and recordkeeping. Ability to perform effectively in a multi-priority, deadline environment.

Strong attention to detail and analytical ability. Well-developed communication skills; written and verbal. Schedule: full time – 35 hours per week – 9 am – 5 pm Rate of Pay : $25 per hour This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location.

The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
