Job description
Lead EDI Specialist Hours: Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Hybrid after introductory period) Location: Salt Lake City area (Utah residency required) We're looking for a person who will take the reins and make this space their own. You'll be the go-to expert for how healthcare data moves across our organization, with real ownership, real visibility, and real influence over how we modernize.
If you like solving complex problems, working with great people, and seeing the direct impact of your work, keep reading — we're moving quickly and would love to bring you on while our current specialist is still here to hand off the keys What You’ll Do Lead the day-to-day administration, support, and continuous improvement of EDI ecosystem Serve as our subject matter expert on healthcare EDI transactions- 837, 835, 270/271, and 278 Manage relationships with vendors, clearinghouses, trading partners, and third-parties Investigate transaction failures and discrepancies, driving resolution and root-cause analysis Support integrations beyond ANSI X12 — APIs, XML, JSON, flat files, SFTP, and specific formats Lead process improvement and projects that boost automation, scalability, and performance What We're Looking For Demonstrated expertise with healthcare EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 278) Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field Experience managing vendors, clearinghouses, TPAs, and trading partner relationships Strong grasp of EDI implementation methodology — onboarding, testing, validation, and production support Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects without dropping the ball Bonus points: healthcare payer operations, HIPAA EDI compliance, and claims/enrollment/eligibility workflows Benefits We Offer Employer paid medical coverage Generous paid time off 8 and half paid holidays a year 401(k) retirement plan
