About the Role
The Night Shift Assembly Technician plays a crucial role in the mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry by ensuring that all equipment and machinery are assembled correctly and function efficiently. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of mechanical systems to guarantee that all components meet safety and operational standards.
The technician will collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues that may arise during the production process. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in mechanical assembly or a related field. Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical certification in mechanical assembly or a related discipline. Experience in the mining, quarrying, or oil and gas extraction industry. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial settings.
Responsibilities
Assemble and install mechanical components and systems according to specifications and blueprints. Conduct regular inspections and tests on assembled equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety. Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve assembly-related issues. Maintain accurate records of assembly processes and report any discrepancies or concerns.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while performing assembly tasks. Skills: The required skills for this position include mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools, which are essential for assembling complex machinery. Attention to detail is critical, as technicians must ensure that all components are correctly installed to prevent operational failures.
Problem-solving skills are also necessary, as technicians will often need to troubleshoot issues that arise during assembly. - Monday
- Saturday: 6:00 am - 6:30 pm, subject to change based on workload / backlog.
