• Friday Hours: 3pm to 11pm Description of Role: Shift Lead (B4) The Shift Lead will assist with production to deliver all products of consistently high quality, on time and in full. The Shift Lead will manage 2nd Shift production and Associates with daily job functions. Provide all Associates with an opportunity for Development and Growth at Mars. The Shift Lead will ensure mill is compliant with Safety, Health, and Environmental legal requirements, and will help with training all Associates to improve Health, Safety, and Environmental KPI's. What are we looking for? Minimum Requirements: Line manager approval 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Experience and demonstrate capability in leading others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.), internet software, e-mail. Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices. Most recent Performance appraisal with a minimum of “Meets Expectations” and not more than 1 year old. No corrective action notices. Acceptable attendance. Physical Requirements: Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs.) Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping. Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces. Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous direct people leadership experience Functional knowledge and understanding of HACCP concepts. Experience in plant sanitation practices and procedures. What are my key responsibilities? The Shift Lead coordinates and directs activities within the processing, packaging, and warehouse departments to safely and efficiently produce quality products.

Contributes to the achievement of KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators and average tons and daily goals. Work with the HSE Manager to implement Safety procedures to achieve injury rate goals and lost time goals. Lead, Develop, train and Mentor all associates. Assist with the hiring of new associates Provide operational coverage in departments when and where needed.

Assist QA in maintaining Operator Ownership, training & education programs. Assist with inventory organization and inventory levels. Provide support for manufacturing activities of the plant for efficiency and utilization of existing and new equipment and processes. Maintain site security by preventing fire and data loss.
