MEP Project Manager (Design-Focused) Position: Senior MEP Project Manager Department: Engineering / Project Delivery Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Remote (Supporting US, UK & AU Projects) About the Role We are making a strategic first hire to build and scale our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) division.
We are seeking a design-focused MEP Project Manager with a strong background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering who can lead multidisciplinary coordination, manage remote drafting teams, and ensure international-standard compliance. This is a leadership role that will define the technical direction and quality standards of our MEP operations.
Why This Role Is Critical MEP projects require tight coordination between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. A strong design-focused PM: Prevents drawing errors and costly rework Leads junior engineers and drafters effectively Ensures compliance with US / UK / AU standards Delivers coordinated, clash-free models and drawings Builds scalable systems for international growth Ideal Candidate Profile Education Mechanical Engineer (HVAC-heavy projects preferred) Electrical Engineer (power & industrial focus preferred) Civil Engineer with strong MEP coordination experience (less common but acceptable) Experience 7+ years in MEP design & coordination Experience with US, UK, or Australian standards Managed remote drafting or engineering teams Experience in MEP design-build projects Strong understanding of RFI management International code compliance experience Technical Skills AutoCAD Revit MEP (BIM coordination) Clash detection using Navisworks 2D & 3D drawing review Construction site coordination knowledge Bonus Qualifications PMP Certification Experience working remotely with US-based engineering firms Experience in Industrial MEP + Automation integration Our Strategic Advantage: Industrial MEP + Automation We are positioning ourselves beyond generic MEP firms.

Growth Plan – Future Team Structure Following this hire, we plan to scale with: Priority 2: BIM / MEP Coordinator Revit MEP expert Clash detection specialist Shop drawing production Construction sequencing understanding Priority 3: Discipline Engineers Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC Specialist – ASHRAE, load calculations, duct design) Electrical Design Engineer (NEC, IEC familiarity, panel schedules, single-line diagrams) Plumbing / Fire Protection Designer Smart Hiring Strategy (If Budget-Conscious Phase) We may initially build with: 1 Senior MEP Project Manager 2–3 Mid-Level MEP Drafters (AutoCAD/Revit strong) Then scale engineers as projects expand.
