Controller

The Role We are looking for a Controller to own our accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will lead the close, make sure our financials are accurate and audit-ready, and give leadership the insight needed to make sound decisions as we grow. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will manage the accounting function and still be close to the details.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring timely and accurate results Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections Design, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies Coordinate external audits and tax filings and work with outside CPAs and advisors Manage and develop members of the accounting team Provide financial analysis and reporting to the executive team Evaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting tools Support compliance with applicable regulatory and financial reporting requirements Qualifications 10+ years of professional accounting or finance experience 3+ years of managerial experience, including direct supervision of staff Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Strong working knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment Must be US based Preferred Experience in insurance or health care CPA license Experience in a growing or fast-moving company What We Offer Fully remote position (must be US based) Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 on base + performance bonus Health Benefits Unlimited PTO Equal Opportunity Statement First Gen Industries LTD is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
