Accounting Specialist – Patient Banking – $19/hr W2 – Phoenix (30 hrs/week, Early Schedule) Banking-style accounting work inside Arizona's state hospital. The Patient Finance group at the Arizona State Hospital needs an Accounting Specialist to run daily patient banking operations, and if you've worked as a teller, in cash operations, or in bookkeeping, this is your skill set with a state agency on your resume.

• maintain and balance cash drawers, investigating any overages or shortages
• enter and reconcile daily deposit transactions
• reconcile check registers
• approve patient withdrawal vouchers and review accounts for errors
• maintain ledger accounts with supporting documentation
• communicate with patients, staff, guardians, and family members about deposit funds What you'll need: fiscal and financial record-keeping experience (banking, teller, cash operations, or bookkeeping background fits well)
• ledger and journal maintenance skill
• accuracy under daily balancing discipline
