Make Ready II Technician - Apartment Maintenance

This role is responsible for ensuring vacant apartment homes are fully prepared and meet company standards prior to new resident move-in. A Make Ready II Technician will also support the maintenance team with routine maintenance tasks and service requests. This position includes participation in on-call rotation for nights/weekends.

The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance experience, a solid work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Complete repairs, replacements, and touch-ups to ensure apartments are move-in ready. Repair or replace appliances, fixtures, flooring, and cabinetry as needed. Patch and paint walls, ceilings, and trim to achieve a high-quality finish. Change locks and prepare keys for new residents. Work closely with Property Manager and Lead Maintenance to prioritize work orders and ensure timely unit turnovers.

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and work orders. Assist with routine maintenance and repair tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc. Follow all applicable EPA and OSHA regulations regarding the safe storage and handling of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics, and Freon.

Qualifications

1+ years’ experience in multifamily property maintenance. EPA Certification Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude. Familiarity with basic plumbing and electrical systems. Proficiency in using common maintenance tools and equipment.
