• Cottontown, TN, Salary Range: Undisclosed, DOT Driver – Qualifications & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Cargo Safety: Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport Logbook Maintenance: Accurately record driving hours, rest periods, and required data in compliance with DOT regulations Route Planning: Follow assigned routes using maps or GPS while meeting delivery schedules Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, including weight limits, hours of service, and safety standards Incident Reporting: Promptly report accidents, mechanical issues, or safety concerns to dispatch Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers; assist with loading and unloading as needed and follow delivery instructions Documentation: Complete required paperwork such as bills of lading, delivery receipts, and inspection reports Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic vehicle checks (e.g., tire pressure, fluid levels) to ensure safe operation Work Environment: Operate vehicles in varying weather conditions and terrains Required Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements Current DOT medical certification Clean driving record with minimal violations Ability to pass a background check Physical ability to lift and move cargo and sit for extended periods Ability to read and speak English proficiently Additional DOT Requirements Minimum age: 23 years (for interstate commercial driving) Compliance with all DOT driver qualification standards Hazardous Materials (Haz.
