Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the accounting records and transactions for multiple operating units; will be a key contributor to the financial closing processes; and will be involved in the preparation of the company’s income statement and balance sheet, account analysis/reconciliations of general ledger accounts, and monthly journal entries.

Job Duties Prepare monthly journal entries for financial statement close process. Prepare financial statements for a group of subsidiary companies. Prepare account reconciliations. Prepare GL bank reconciliations. Process customer and vendor payments via ACH through the bank online portal. Assist with audits. Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in general ledger accounts.

Accurately record and track company transactions. Project Accounting for construction and capital projects Special projects as needed, involving coordination and communication between various internal and external systems. Follow CSWR policies and guidelines at all times. Other tasks as assigned. Personal Attributes Accountability

Education/Experience 2+ Years’ experience as an Accountant Bachelor’s Degree in finance or related field Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like NetSuite Advanced MS Excel skills including V-lookups and pivot tables Experience with general ledger functions Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills Ability to work well independently and be a team player. Ability to manage time sensitive projects. Demonstrated knowledge of financial applications and processes.
