RN Staff Nurse - Sch ICU

Registered Nurse Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Department: SCH ICU Full Time/PRN: PRN Job Summary Provides nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation; promotes restorative/supportive care; ensures safe medication administration and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current RN license by MS Board of Nursing; ability to read/write/communicate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR or ACLS certification.

Essential Duties

& Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and perform assessments.
• Develop Plans of Care and educate patients/families.
• Document accurately; report changes.
• Maintain infection prevention; administer meds safely.
• Participate in performance improvement. Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistance/devices.
• Assist with patient repositioning and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Manual dexterity for clinical procedures and computer use; adequate vision, hearing, and speech. All candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position.
