Job Description Director Global Enterprise Applications Join Ensign-Bickford Industries, Inc. (EBI) and you’ll be part of a team that leads science, innovation, and technology on different industry fronts. Working here will provide you with an exciting and motivating career full of development and growth opportunities throughout our businesses.

We are a global company that prides itself on having passionate, diverse and dedicated employees who work together to achieve uncommon results. Job Description Ensign-Bickford Industries is seeking a Director of Global Enterprise Applications to lead the strategy, governance, delivery, and continuous improvement of our global business applications portfolio.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this leader will own the enterprise applications roadmap, strengthen support and controls, and ensure that ERP and other business-critical platforms deliver measurable value across a diverse, multi-site organization. This is a visible, business-facing leadership role with responsibility for the IFS application suite and other core platforms supporting finance, sales, laboratory, manufacturing, and operational processes.

The successful candidate will combine strategic direction with hands-on execution and build a sustainable support model using internal talent and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

Own and evolve the global enterprise applications strategy and multi-year roadmap, aligning investments and priorities with business objectives, operational needs, value, and risk. Provide strategic and operational leadership for IFS ERP and other core business applications across finance, sales, laboratory, manufacturing, and related functions.

Partner with business leaders to understand current and future capabilities, translate needs into scalable application solutions, and determine when platforms should be upgraded, integrated, replaced, or brought into the IT portfolio. Lead enterprise application implementations, upgrades, integrations, stabilization efforts, and continuous-improvement initiatives across multiple businesses and locations.

Establish a disciplined portfolio-management and prioritization process that balances strategic initiatives, operational support, technical debt, cybersecurity, compliance, and available capacity. Build a sustainable global support model using internal resources, vendors, and managed service providers; set clear expectations and hold partners accountable for service, delivery, cost, and quality.

Strengthen application governance, IT General Controls, SDLC practices, change management, documentation, access controls, and audit readiness in partnership with cybersecurity, infrastructure, data and analytics, finance, and internal-control stakeholders. Lead, coach, and develop a global team of nine employees located across three U.

S. sites and the United Kingdom; clarify roles, establish priorities, strengthen succession, and build future leadership capability. Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Data and Analytics, Security, Finance, Operations, and business-unit leaders to ensure applications are reliable, secure, scalable, integrated, and well supported.

Define success measures and communicate portfolio health, delivery progress, risks, resource needs, and business outcomes to executive leadership. Apply continuous-improvement principles, including the Ensign-Bickford Operating System and Kaizen mindset, to simplify processes, improve service, and increase business value.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business, engineering, or a related field. At least 15 years of progressive enterprise applications or IT leadership experience, including ownership of complex business-critical application portfolios. Demonstrated experience defining application strategy and roadmaps and leading major ERP or enterprise-platform implementations, transformations, integrations, upgrades, or stabilization efforts.

Experience leading global or multi-site teams and influencing senior business and technology stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority. Strong people-leadership experience, including prioritizing team capacity, developing talent, setting clear expectations, and building succession capability. Demonstrated vendor and managed-service-provider leadership, including service models, performance expectations, delivery governance, and commercial accountability.

Working knowledge of application governance, IT General Controls, SDLC, change management, cybersecurity and data considerations, documentation, and audit readiness. Executive-level communication and the ability to translate technical considerations into clear business decisions, risks, priorities, and outcomes. Ability to operate effectively through ambiguity and change while establishing structure, accountability, and measurable delivery discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience with IFS or a comparable global ERP platform. Enterprise applications leadership in manufacturing, industrial, aerospace and defense, life sciences, clinical research, laboratory, or another complex regulated environment, including experience supporting manufacturing operations, operational technology, or globally distributed business processes.

Experience integrating newly acquired businesses, harmonizing application landscapes, or standardizing platforms across business units. Graduate degree or relevant professional certifications. Why Join EBI This role offers enterprise-wide impact, direct partnership with the CIO, and the opportunity to shape how a growing global organization uses technology to operate and scale.

The Director will influence modernization priorities, governance, service delivery, and team capability across the company while helping mature one global ERP platform. The position offers significant exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to develop toward broader IT or business leadership responsibilities based on performance, readiness, and organizational needs.

Travel and Location The position is based on-site in Simsbury, CT, where the core IT leadership team is located. Domestic travel is expected to average approximately 20% and may include about one week per month, depending on business and project needs. Travel to the United Kingdom is anticipated approximately twice per year and may increase during major implementations or transformation initiatives.

Relocation assistance is available for the selected candidate. Salary Range: $160,000 - $220,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, national origin, or veteran status.
