VA Certifying Official

The VA Certifying Official (VCO) coordinates and provides all military-affiliated benefits processing and related customer service in the Financial Aid Office. The VCO serves as a liaison between the VA, DOD, students, and other military third-party vendors and government agencies. This position will field a high volume of internal contacts within a call center environment.

The VCO will also ensure timely and compliant processing of student files. Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA Salary: $41,000- 46,000 annually Essential duties: Develop a deep understanding of issues and needs confronting military-affiliated students and assist in the development of effective ways to address those issues and needs.

Maintain expert-level knowledge of military-affiliated benefits Provides extraordinary customer service Coordinates and participates in Regent and military association events. Assists, advises and counsels prospective and current students on the application process and use of their benefits.

Qualifications
