• Building Partnerships for Success", the Wauconda Community School District is a Prekindergarten - 12th-grade school system serving nearly 4200 students from Lake County and Mc. Henry County. The school district serves six communities, including Wauconda, Island Lake, Lake Barrington, Lakemoor, Port Barrington, Volo, and unincorporated areas in Wauconda, Algonquin Fremont, and Nunda Townships. Wauconda CUSD 118 has earned an outstanding reputation for providing high-quality learning opportunities to our students. The district is made up of six schools: three elementary schools, two middle schools, and one comprehensive high school. The successful candidate needs to have a proven track record as a responsive and successful leader; must be an effective communicator; demonstrate a strong understanding of school finance; and can demonstrate proven, tangible success in improving the outcomes for students.
