Brake Press Operator

Description Job Overview : The Brake Press Operator is responsible for operating a machine called a brake press to bend, form, and shape metal sheets or plates according to specifications. They read blueprints, set up the machine, load the material, and monitor the process to ensure accuracy and efficiency. They may also perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Inspecting and calibrating machines Reading technical drawings and blueprints Setting up and operating machines Maintaining safety regulations Operates overhead crane Operates fork truck Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Vocational training in machine operation or a related field is preferred Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints Knowledge of brake press operation and maintenance Strong attention to detail Good communication and problem-solving skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Climb ladders. Able to stand for long periods of time. Factory setting; hot and cold temperatures; noisy conditions. Able to lift 80 lbs.
