Garden and Gift Sales Associate - part time

Part-Time | Year-Round Position Baker Garden & Gift | Fargo, ND Do you enjoy helping people, learning about plants, and creating great customer experiences? Baker Garden & Gift is looking for a friendly, energetic team member to join our year-round retail team. In this role, you'll help customers find the perfect plants, gifts, and garden products while supporting a welcoming and engaging shopping experience throughout the store.

What You'll Do

• Greet and assist customers throughout the store
• Help customers find products, plants, gifts, and solutions that meet their needs
• Answer questions about merchandise, plant care, and upcoming events
• Operate the point-of-sale system and assist with purchases, returns, and exchanges
• Water, prune, and care for plant material
• Stock, organize, and merchandise products and displays
• Assist with receiving shipments, tagging inventory, and restocking merchandise
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail environment
• Support other departments as needed throughout the year What Makes You a Great Fit We're looking for someone who:

• Can commit to working at least two weekends per month Experience & Qualifications Preferred but not required:
• Previous retail or customer service experience
• Plant, gardening, greenhouse, or nursery knowledge
• Experience operating a point-of-sale system On-the-job training is provided. Schedule
• Part-time, year-round position
• Flexible scheduling based on business needs and employee availability
• Must be available to work at least two weekends per month
• Additional hours may be available during peak spring and holiday sales periods Physical Requirements
• Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of a shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
