Job description
Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to bridge the gap between our engineering team and non-technical stakeholders. The primary responsibility is to convert technical survey findings (quantitative & qualitative) into high-level presentations, generate comprehensive audit reports, and lead the narrative during closing meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Synthesis & Presentation (Crucial)
- Receive draft query listing from site engineers regarding quantitative (measurements, material quantities, billing) and qualitative (workmanship, safety, compliance) findings.
- Translate complex engineering data into (PowerPoint/Canva) for stakeholders (clients, senior management, finance teams).
- Highlight risks, deviations, and key performance indicators in a simplified manner.
- Audit Report Generation
- Prepare detailed internal audit reports post-inspection, ensuring alignment with contract specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain a database of audit trails, non-conformities, and corrective action trackers.
- Closing Meetings
- Actively participate in project closing meetings.
- Present audit findings and summaries to stakeholders.
- Document minutes of meeting (MoM) and ensure sign-off on closure reports.
- Coordination
- Liaise between the engineering survey team and the client’s representative.
- Ensure audit cycles are completed within defined turnaround times.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of internal audit of projects (Mandatory).
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects is highly preferred. 2.
Education
- B.E./B. Tech (Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engineering + MBA (Project Management) is a plus.
- Candidates with a background in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) also fit.
- Audit Knowledge:
- Familiarity with internal audit standards, non-conformance reporting (NCR), and project lifecycle. Technical & Soft Skills
- Reporting: Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (pivot tables, VLOOKUP for quantitative analysis).
- Communication: Excellent English & Hindi (written and verbal) to explain technical defects to non-technical stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Assertive yet diplomatic during closing meetings; high attention to detail.
