The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate Site Coordinator to lead one of our Club locations. This leadership role is perfect for someone with experience in youth development, education, after-school programming, childcare, recreation, behavioral support, or nonprofit organizations who is passionate about helping young people reach their full potential. As the Site Coordinator, you'll oversee daily operations, supervise staff, develop engaging programs, build relationships with families and community partners, and ensure every Club member has a safe, fun, and enriching experience. What You'll Do

Lead Daily Club Operations Oversee the daily operation of an assigned Boys & Girls Club site. Ensure programs are safe, engaging, organized, and aligned with Boys & Girls Club youth development standards. Maintain a positive, welcoming environment for youth, families, staff, and visitors. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and child safety standards.

Plan & Deliver High-Quality Youth Programs Coordinate and oversee after-school and summer programs for school-age youth. Support staff in planning engaging activities focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, leadership, and character development. Monitor program quality and participation. Recruit and retain Club members to meet attendance goals.

Support Youth Success Build positive, meaningful relationships with youth and families. Supervise youth during programs and activities. Promote positive behavior using trauma-informed and youth-centered practices. Address behavioral concerns consistently and professionally. Recognize and celebrate member achievements and milestones.

Supervise & Develop Staff Train, coach, supervise, and support Club staff and volunteers. Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing coaching. Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture. Partner with Human Resources to support hiring, onboarding, and staff development. Administrative & Financial Responsibilities Maintain attendance records, program participation data, and required documentation.

Monitor the site's monthly operating budget and expenses. Complete reports accurately and on time. Ensure compliance with meal program and organizational reporting requirements. Community Engagement Build strong relationships with local schools, families, and community organizations. Support marketing efforts by promoting Club programs, events, and membership opportunities.

Help increase community awareness and engagement. Safety & Facility Management Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility. Ensure equipment is properly maintained. Follow all Boys & Girls Club, licensing, and safety procedures. Maintain child protection standards at all times.

Qualifications

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher in Education, Human Services, Recreation, Youth Development, or a related field is preferred. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Must be eligible to drive a Boys & Girls Club vehicle and transport Club members.

Ability to successfully pass all required background checks. Preferred Experience Experience working with children or teens in an after-school program, childcare center, school, camp, recreation program, Boys & Girls Club, YMCA, or other youth-serving organization. Previous leadership or supervisory experience, including coaching, mentoring, or managing staff and volunteers.

Experience planning and leading engaging youth programs and activities that support positive youth development. Experience with behavior management using positive, trauma-informed, and relationship-based approaches is preferred. Experience managing multiple priorities, budgets, schedules, or daily operations is a plus.

Skills & Abilities Passion for working with youth and helping young people succeed. Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, staff, volunteers, schools, and community partners. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Comfortable supervising large groups of children and leading engaging activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Physical Requirements Ability to actively participate in youth programs, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, running, and participating in indoor and outdoor recreational activities.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in an active, fast-paced, and sometimes noisy environment while maintaining a positive attitude and focus. Schedule Requirements Availability to work weekday afternoons during the school year, with core program hours typically between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.

m. Additional office hours, meetings, training, and summer programming may occur throughout the week. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for special events, trainings, or Club activities.
