Manager, Hotel Construction Development

Job Purposes Key Roles and Responsibilities Lead hotel construction and development projects from project initiation, design development, procurement, construction, commissioning, and hotel opening. Develop and manage overall project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Development, Design, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Asset Management throughout the project lifecycle. Manage consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project quality and compliance with company standards. Review project designs, drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies to optimize quality, cost efficiency, and operational functionality.

Monitor construction progress, identify project risks, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns. Ensure compliance with building regulations, safety requirements, environmental standards, and corporate governance. Conduct regular site inspections, project meetings, and progress reporting to senior management.

Manage project budgets, variation orders, claims, contract administration, and project documentation. Support feasibility reviews, construction monitoring, project reporting, and stakeholder coordination. Support hotel pre-opening activities and ensure smooth project handover to Operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in hotel, hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, or large-scale construction projects. Lead multiple concurrent hotel development projects, primarily mid-scale, upscale, and luxury hotel developments.

Proven experience managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle from concept to completion. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors. Good command of English both verbal and written skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Able to travel to project sites nationwide as needed.
