• Big-firm resources, local-team relationships, ONE IMEG culture IMEG is hiring an Accounting Manager in Rock Island, IL to manage and support the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable and Cash Receivable Team. This role works with the Director of Finance and Accounting to manage assigned responsibilities efficiently and on time. You will manage, research, and assist with vendor invoice payments and cash receipts in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures. You will also support vendors and internal customers and identify opportunities for improvement. At a Glance Location: Rock Island, IL Discipline: Finance & Accounting Ownership: 100% employee-owned (ESOP) Work Schedule: Full-time hybrid Sponsorship: Not available What You'll Do Lead and manage the Accounts Payable and Cash Receivable Team, including transaction processing, cash application, vendor payments, and issue resolution. Lead, manage, and develop accounting staff while establishing performance expectations and accountability. Monitor workloads and allocate resources to meet deadlines and service-level expectations. Promote accountability, accuracy, continuous improvement, customer service, and operational excellence. Serve as the escalation point for complex vendor matters and customer discrepancies or issues. Identify, develop, and implement process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives in accounting operations. Maintain confidentiality of corporate, personnel, and project or client-related material. Oversee month-end and year-end reporting, including 1099s and AP aging, and ensure reconciliation to the general ledger. Review invoice coding for accuracy and provide final approval for processing. Collaborate with cross-functional accounting teams and other departments to resolve issues, improve processes, and complete responsibilities and assignments on time.

What You'll Bring

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred Knowledge of Deltek-Vantage. Point or similar software is preferred but not required 8 years’ experience in an accounting department required 5 years management experience, preferably leading accounting team required Required Skills/Abilities Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Ability to mentor and motivate others Ability to plan and prioritize Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Enjoy working both autonomously and in a team environment Analytical and data-driven mindset Comfortable using software and willing to learn new software as required by the position Experience in managing high volume AP and cash receipts operations, including multi location company Proficient in MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook Why IMEG We put people at the center of who we are, creating positive outcomes for people, communities, and our planet.

Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications.
