Part Time Night Audit
Job description
PART TIME NIGHT AUDITOR Wyndham I-Drive Avanti Resort & Conference Center is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and guest-focused Part-Time Night Auditor to join our Front Office team. This position plays an important role in both our overnight hotel operations and the guest experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, have strong attention to detail, and understand that exceptional hospitality continues throughout the overnight hours.
This position is responsible for completing nightly audit procedures, ensuring accurate financial and reservation activity, assisting guests, and communicating important overnight information to Front Office leadership.
Responsibilities
Perform nightly audit procedures for hotel financial transactions, reservations, and reports. Reconcile daily revenue, payments, postings, and account balances and research discrepancies. Prepare and distribute required Night Audit and operational reports to management. Perform Front Desk operations, including guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and reservation assistance.
Accurately process cash, credit card payments, and authorization holds. Review reservations, payment instructions, routing, and billing for accuracy. Review third-party and OTA reservations, including Booking.com and Expedia, to ensure appropriate payment and routing procedures are followed. Welcome guests in a warm, professional manner and provide exceptional overnight customer service.
Respond to guest questions, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. Take ownership of guest concerns whenever possible rather than simply passing an issue to the next shift. Utilize appropriate service-recovery techniques and involve management when necessary. Follow up with guests after reported concerns to ensure requests have been addressed.
Accurately document guest concerns, room moves, maintenance issues, unusual activity, and other important information. Complete required guest statements and incident documentation when applicable. Coordinate with Security, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other departments when overnight assistance is required. Communicate unresolved issues and important overnight activity clearly to the incoming Front Office team and management.
Support Wyndham Rewards enrollment and properly recognize members while providing accurate information regarding eligible benefits. Maintain accurate hotel records and follow established company and property procedures. Maintain guest privacy and protect confidential guest and payment information. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Front Desk environment.
Remain attentive to hotel safety and security concerns during overnight hours and report concerns according to established procedures. Perform additional Front Office and Night Audit responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous hotel Night Audit, Front Desk, or Guest Services experience preferred. OPERA Cloud experience strongly preferred. Wyndham hotel or Wyndham Rewards experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic understanding of accounting, revenue reconciliation, and financial procedures.
Comfortable researching billing and reservation discrepancies. Experience working with third-party/OTA reservations is preferred. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Strong guest-recovery and problem-solving abilities. Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused when handling challenging guest situations.
Ability to make appropriate decisions and work independently with limited overnight supervision. Strong written communication and documentation skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning hotel technology and systems. Reliable, punctual, professional, and accountable. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a busy hotel environment.
What We’re Looking For Our Night Auditor is more than the person who closes the hotel's business day. This individual is an overnight representative of our Guest Services team and must be prepared to assist guests, solve problems, make sound decisions, and take ownership of the operation during overnight hours. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of follow-through.
When a guest reports an issue, our expectation is that the concern is acknowledged, properly documented, communicated to the appropriate department, and followed up on whenever possible. The successful candidate will demonstrate hospitality, accountability, attention to detail, good judgment, and a willingness to assist both guests and fellow team members.
Work Schedule This is a part-time overnight position, typically scheduled from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Candidates must have dependable overnight availability and be able to work weekends and holidays as needed based on hotel occupancy and business demands. Join a team focused on creating a welcoming guest experience while maintaining the accuracy, communication, and operational standards necessary to keep our hotel running successfully around the clock.
