Assistant Accountant

We are currently looking for a motivated Assistant Accountant to join the Accounting team of our subsidiary, European Bauxites , part of our Finance Division based in our headquarters in Marousi .

Your role

Assist in the monthly, semi-annual, and annual closing process, ensuring accurate financial reporting Prepare, monitor, and reconcile accounting entries, including balance sheet and general ledger accounts Issue and process invoices, monitor receivables and payables, and perform periodic reconciliations Monitor Key Accounts Payable and perform periodic reconciliations on suppliers’ balances Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, financial reports, and payment orders while liaising with internal departments Maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency in accounting tasks, meeting tight deadlines when required What you bring to the role: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of accounting experience Very good knowledge of accounting principles, General Chart of Accounts, and general ledger functions, including month-end and year-end close processes Strong preference will be given to candidates with good knowledge of the SAP ERP system Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong commitment to deadlines, ability to work under pressure, excellent communication skills, and a teamwork mentality with attention to detail Completed military obligations (where applicable) Share the same Value Based Behaviors: People & Personal growth Results orientation & Safety excellence Collaboration & Trust Empathy & Effective communication Flexibility & Adaptability Your Benefits: Competitive remuneration package Ticket Restaurant Card Group Health Insurance Plan Preferential household electricity plan Pension Plan At METLEN , we combine industrial expertise with a global outlook to help shape a more sustainable future.
