Quality Associate

Description POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Associate is responsible for ensuring outgoing parts meet defined quality standards in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role supports production by performing inspections, documenting results, identifying defects, and communicating findings to ensure only conforming product is shipped to customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform final inspection of outgoing parts using gauges, measurement tools, visual checks, and standardized work instructions.
• Verify product meets specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
• Document all inspection results accurately in quality records, logs, or digital systems.
• Identify, classify, and segregate nonconforming product; escalate issues to Quality Technicians or Supervisors.
• Support root-cause investigation by providing defect data, samples, and detailed feedback.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection stations and equipment.
• Follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams regarding issues or trends.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects and improve flow.
• Assist with in-process checks, audits, and other quality activities as needed. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to reach to use tools and equipment for inspecting and testing
• Ability to manipulate and feel small parts for inspection
• Ability to inspect small parts visually and through the use of magnifying equipment
• Ability to perceive depth to set up equipment
