Posted Salary Grade: $10.50 per hour Retirement: None Contact Person: Dr. Bill Young Job Summary/Basic Functions This is a student worker position intended to supplement the on-campus EMT and paramedic skills laboratory classes as well as other administrative duties. Applicants DO NOT have to be licensed paramedics or EMTs although they are preferred. Qualified applicants should have the aptitude for teaching and explaining skills to students in initial certification-level courses at the EMT-Basic and/or paramedic level. This is intended for full-time undergraduate or graduate students.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be enrolled full-time at EKU Kentucky or NREMT Licensed EMT Desired but NOT REQUIRED. Kentucky or NREMT Licensed Paramedic HIGHLY desired.

Preferred Qualifications

Must submit proof of NREMT and/or state-level EMT or paramedic certification if the applicant possess them. Must have desire to teach/mentor students in clinical settings; preference given to those with FTO experience, precepting experience, and/or instructor/tutoring experience. Must submit proof of current class schedule to prove eligibility to work during lab times.

Job Duties: 25%

• Assist in maintenance and organization of EMT Basic and paramedic skills labs in various tasks as directed by faculty.
