Senior Project Coordinator

Downer’s Transport & Infrastructure business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to join our Queensland Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) team based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating construction and project delivery activities across a portfolio of ITS, electrical and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate on-site construction and project management activities across allocated projects. Support the successful delivery of projects to scope, schedule, quality and budget requirements. Assist with planning, forecasting, cost control and project reporting. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Monitor project risks, opportunities and program performance. Support contractual administration, including claims and variations. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors and project teams. Drive productivity improvements and continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery. Champion Downer's Zero Harm culture through safety leadership, inspections and workforce engagement.

Ensure compliance with project governance, quality systems and operational processes. What you’ll bring Experience in project coordination, project management or construction delivery within Civil, ITS, Electrical or related infrastructure environments. Degree in Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification (preferred).

Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost control. Experience managing subcontractors and stakeholder relationships. Knowledge of contractual administration, claims and variations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
