Short-Term School Nurse

Job Summary

The School Nurse performs duties in the major areas of conducting health screenings, monitoring immunizations, Kindergarten and/or first grade physicals, providing health-related in-services for teachers and other staff, checking and monitoring pupils referred for health needs, illnesses, and emergencies, and monitoring referrals for pupils to community health agencies.

Requirements

/ Qualifications License or Certificate: R.N., registered in California Valid California School Nurse Services Credential Valid Audiometric Certification Experience: Experience as a school nurse (K-8) required. School Nurse Services Credential Comments and Other Information Experience as a School Nurse and a valid California School Nurse Services Credential required.
