Would you like to have a job that allows you to help young people with learning disabilities enjoy a Short Break in Nairn? An exciting opportunity has arrived in Key’s Short Breaks service, where your duties will involve planning adventures and activities in the local community, working alongside our close-knit team in Nairn to help young people with learning disabilities to get the most out of a holiday in the local community.

A typical day in our Short Breaks service involves greeting the supported person at our specially designed Short Breaks accommodation, working towards making their break the best it can be. This can involve something as simple as puzzles and games in the provided accommodation, to more active breaks like day-long trips to surrounding towns for walks, activities, meals, shows, cinema’s, music, and anything in between.

Typical shifts run from 8 hours to 24hr shifts including sleepover, with your own room within the Short Breaks service. You will work closely with the local manager to ensure that every possibility for a persons break has been carried out effectively to their own person centred needs and support planning. At Key we strive for continuity and would be keen to see applicants understanding of the needs for trust and companionship while our supported people enjoy their break.
