Checker Location: Ray's, 215 East Wagner St, P.O. Box 274, TALENT, OR, 97540 Department: Front End Reports To: Front End Supervisor / PIC FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Summary Provides fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service. Processes all tenders correctly (cash, check, credit, debit, SNAP/EBT, WIC), follows age-restricted sales procedures, and supports front end operations.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers, apply the 10-foot rule, and provide assistance. Accurately scan, total, and tender transactions. Comply with SNAP/EBT and WIC procedures; verify IDs for restricted sales. Follow cash handling and till security procedures. Maintain a clean and organized checkstand. Assist with bagging and customer carry-outs as needed.

Report known loss or suspicious activity per LP policy.

Qualifications

Prior customer service or cashier experience preferred. Basic math and cash handling skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements Stand/walk for extended periods. Lift/carry up to 40 lbs occasionally. Frequent reaching and repetitive motions. Scheduling Expectations Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Success Indicators (KPIs) Transaction accuracy and speed benchmarks. Cash over/short within limits. Customer service feedback and mystery shop results.
