Experienced CDL Instructor-part time

The job requires experienced Class A CDL drivers who can teach and demonstrate classroom subjects, yard/range skills, on-road driving, and other trucking-related tasks. Applicants should have strong computer and administrative skills, knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, and a commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA standards.

Good communication, a solid understanding of the CDL Manual, and a willingness to pursue further training are essential. A clean background, excellent motor vehicle record, and professional appearance are also required, along with the ability to pass company interviews and orientation. This is an as-needed position and may require some evenings and weekends.

This job requires well-trained, experienced and qualified Class A CDL drivers who are capable of teaching, presenting, and demonstrating classroom subjects, yard/range skills, on-road driving, and other various aspects of the trucking industry such as dispatching, truck management, safety, cargo securement, to name a few.

2 years commercial vehicle driving required. 1 year teaching experience preferred. Computer and administration skills. Very good knowledge of, and willingness to embrace and comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Willingness and ability to work in an OSHA-compliant facility and foster Legacy’s safety culture.

Ability to communicate and work well with others. Very good knowledge of the CDL Manual and various treatise sources of trucking information. Willingness to pursue continual education and training for professional development funded by Legacy. Accept a thorough background check. Excellent motor vehicle record. Diverse knowledge of trucking is preferred.
