Festival Aide - Celebration of Lights

The City of O'Fallon is looking for energetic and dependable team members for the position of Festival Aide. Are you looking for a part-time opportunity where you can use your know-how and skills in decision making, problem solving and dealing with the public? Our Festival Aides enjoy a flexible schedule along with a fun work environment and earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $15.25 - $15.85 hourly.

As part of our Recreation Department, this position plays an important role in the preparation, organization and management of festivals and special events hosted by the Tourism and Festivals Department.

As a Festival Aide, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation and set up of festival and event grounds for Celebration of Lights

• Researching and preparing for festivals and events, including our Celebration of Lights display

• Installing, maintaining and/or repairing holiday lights

• Painting and installing scenery

• Providing security for the light display.

• Assuring light displays are in working properly, taking corrective action when necessary

• Providing information and top notice customer service to patrons

We're looking for someone who is reliable and willing to contribute ideas that support our festivals and special events team. This p erson should be comfortable working with electricity and hand/power tools. This position works outdoors on rough, uneven terrain in all weather conditions. Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
