Job description
Experienced CPA Position Overview A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced CPA to join its team in a Tax Manager-level role. This position is ideal for a seasoned tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients, providing technical expertise, and taking on increasing leadership responsibility.
The successful candidate will oversee tax engagements, review work for quality and accuracy, advise clients on tax matters, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain client relationships across individual and business accounts. Oversee and review tax engagements for accuracy, compliance, and quality. Provide technical guidance on complex tax matters. Serve as a senior resource to clients and team members. Provide direction and mentorship to less experienced staff.
Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and expand services. Support business development and practice growth initiatives. Collaborate with firm leadership on operational and strategic priorities.
Qualifications
Active CPA license required Significant tax experience within a public accounting environment. Strong experience with individual and business tax matters. Demonstrated tax review and technical expertise. Strong client relationship and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to mentor others.
Strong business judgment and problem-solving skills. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced public accounting professional who is ready to take on a broader role within a growing firm. This could be a strong opportunity for a current Tax Manager, Tax Supervisor, Senior Tax Accountant, or experienced CPA looking for increased responsibility and greater impact.
