Accounting Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Accounting & Tax Manager for Brazil to strengthen EPAM's local controllership capabilities and support our Brazilian legal entities through a period of significant accounting, tax and process transformation. Reporting to the Country Controller, this person will serve as the local accounting and tax technical owner for Brazil, coordinating statutory accounting, tax compliance, audits, external service providers and tax reform initiatives while remaining actively involved in detailed accounting, reconciliation, statutory and tax work when required.

Responsibilities

Maintain an effective accounting framework and related internal controls under BR GAAP/CPC, US-GAAP and EPAM Corporate Policies Review monthly close results, trial balance, accounting entries and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of issues with the Country Controller Prepare, review and challenge detailed accounting and tax analyses directly when required, as this is a hands-on technical ownership role, not only a provider-management role Support statutory financial statements, statutory audit, tax audit and SOX-aligned control requirements Coordinate deliverables between Global SSC teams, local external accounting/tax providers, auditors and tax advisors Manage, review and challenge Brazilian tax compliance for a service-sector company, including IRPJ, CSLL, ISS, PIS and COFINS, as well as relevant ancillary obligations Support and help lead the Brazilian tax reform readiness agenda, including CBS/IBS process impacts, invoice layout, tax codes, vendor validation, input credit controls and audit trail requirements Supervise and quality-control outsourced accounting and tax compliance work, while remaining capable of executing or rebuilding processes if activities are internalized in the future Support Statutory-to-US-GAAP bridges, local management reporting, FP&A requests, payroll-accounting reconciliations and other controllership analyses Support integration, entity simplification and process-improvement initiatives in Brazil Requirements Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent; Accounting/Ciências Contábeis is strongly preferred Active CRC registration is required or strongly expected Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, controllership and/or tax in Brazil, ideally in a multinational company, Big 4, outsourcing provider or shared-services environment Strong knowledge of BR GAAP/CPC and good understanding of IFRS and/or US-GAAP reporting concepts Strong Brazilian tax knowledge, especially IRPJ, CSLL, ISS, PIS and COFINS for service-sector activities Practical exposure to Brazilian digital tax/statutory routines such as ECD, ECF, DCTFWeb, EFD-Contribuições, EFD-Reinf, NFS-e, e.

Social-related finance inputs, CND and e-CAC follow-ups Experience reviewing tax calculations, statutory filings, reconciliations and audit support prepared by third-party providers Hands-on ERP experience, preferably SAP; JDE, Brazil localization, NFS-e interfaces or tax engines are a plus Advanced Excel, strong reconciliation skills and ability to communicate complex accounting/tax topics clearly Professional working proficiency in English for daily communication with global stakeholders; Spanish is a plus Nice to have Postgraduate degree, MBA or specialization in Tax, Controllership, IFRS or Finance Prior involvement in Brazilian tax reform readiness, CBS/IBS implementation or process redesign Experience in technology, consulting or professional-services companies Experience with statutory audits and tax audits from a legal-entity perspective Familiarity with SOX controls and US-listed multinational environments
