Job description

Role Overview: The opening is for the role of Senior Associate- Market Research in the marketing department will require you to lead day-to-day marketing research operations and generation of insights for discovering market trends and tapping unexplored markets focused towards increasing the revenue and transaction volumes for NPCI. Key responsibility:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of market research and insights projects, working closely with internal stakeholders and external research agencies to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
  • Act as a bridge between business teams and research partners, translating business objectives into research frameworks and actionable insights
  • Design and manage project plans, oversee fieldwork and data collection, and ensure alignment with business goals throughout the project lifecycle
  • Drive quality and accuracy of research outputs through rigorous validation, spot checks, and structured review of reports and insights
  • Translate complex data and research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Manage stakeholder communication, including presenting key findings and ensuring alignment on objectives, outputs, and impact
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective execution while maintaining quality standards
  • AI-augmented research practice: designing and implementing AI-assisted workflows across the research lifecycle to improve output quality, depth of insight, and turnaround time; with the ability to translate AI-assisted analysis into leadership-ready outputs and build team-level AI capability Requirements Key skills and experience required: Experience: 2-4 years Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (required, preferably in the following domains): Marketing, Business, Economics, Psychology or Statistics) Master’s degree (Required): MBA Functional skills:
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights. Familiar with tools like Excel, SPSS etc.
  • Research Design and Methodology: Strong understanding of various research methodologies such as surveys, focus groups and so on.
  • Vendor / Agency Management: Strong coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders ensuring studies are executed as per project requirements, timeline and quality standards
  • Project Coordination: Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously overseeing agency deliverables and ensuring that they align with business objectives and study design
  • Quality Control: Ensuring quality and accuracy of work throughout the process from survey design to final reports and maintain integrity of research findings
  • Data Interpretation: Strong ability to review and interpret research findings confirming that they are relevant, actionable and aligned with business needs. Ability to translate the research insights provided by agencies into strategic recommendations for internal stakeholders
  • Budget Management: Monitoring project budgets in collaboration with agencies providing cost-effective research execution without compromising on quality
  • Hands-on use of AI tools for MR-specific tasks: qual coding, verbatim theming, secondary research synthesis, report drafting, and data cleaning; including prompt design, structured output elicitation, and iterative refinement, not just ad hoc querying
  • Experience designing repeatable AI-assisted workflows for team adoption, not one-off use: prompt templates, structured output formats, or semi-automated pipelines for recurring research needs, with documentation or handoff capability
  • Strong judgment on where AI adds value vs. introduces risk in a research context, particularly in data-sensitive environments where input confidentiality and output integrity are non-negotiable before work reaches internal stakeholders or leadership
