QUALIFICATIONS

Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement REPORTS TO: Principal, Assistant Principal SUPERVISES: N/A FLSA STATUS: Exempt PURPOSE: The K�1 Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction aligned with students' IEPs and Illinois Learning Standards. The teacher supports students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth through individualized instruction, progress monitoring, collaboration with staff and families, and implementation of evidence-based interventions in a supportive learning environment.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 182 Days. Salary to be established by the Board of Education. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Building Principal and/or Dean in accordance with provisions of Board policy. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary Information: 2026-2027 Salary Schedule Payroll Schedule: Distributed over 26 periods, every other Friday Health, Dental, Vision Benefits Information: 2025 Benefits Guide Health Insurance Premiums 2025-2026 Sick Day Allocation: 17 days total, with up to 3 days available for personal use Life Insurance: $50,000 Pension System: Teacher Retirement System Tuition Reimbursement: $3,500 annually
