Job description
We are currently recruiting a high calibre professional for a Section Head position at the Overseas Sovereign Business Section, Institutions Department. In this role, the suitable candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the team and bolster business development with sovereign entities and public sector in both Hong Kong and overseas market.
Job Responsibilities
Lead, coach and inspire the team to manage strategic partnerships and grow new businesses in deposits, loans, treasury products and etc with customers from the public sector in Hong Kong and overseas sovereign entities. Drive business expansion and revenue growth on individuals and team levels. Strategic Execution: Understand and translate high-level objectives from management into actionable team KPI and project roadmaps.
Operational Excellence: Monitor and ensure efficient daily operation workflows within the team, implement best practices in compliance to both regulatory and internal requirement, including but not limited to periodic credit risk and KYC/AML assessment. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary bridge of communication between management and the team, facilitate collaboration and enhance synergies with other business units such as global market, global capital financing, custody and asset management teams.
Resource Planning: Assign tasks to team members with the goal of top efficiency and skill-matching, responsible for hiring needs of the team.
Requirements
& Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in finance, business, accounting, or related discipline. At least 8 years of experience and relevant exposure in institutions or corporate banking, have a good understanding of banking products and services. Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver exceptional quality services.
Solid experience in credit assessment and financial analysis, able to provide guidance to team members in securing credit approvals. Prior experience in management roles is highly preferred. Fluency in English and Chinese, including Mandarin and Cantonese. Relevant investment licenses are required, at least licensed for Type 1 and Type 4 regulated activities under the SFC.
