Immigration Associate Attorney

Job Title: Immigration Associate Attorney Job Type: Full-Time Location: De Armas & De Armas Law, 613 Abbott St, Suite 600, Detroit MI 48226 Salary Range: $75,000+ depending on experience Job Overview: De Armas & De Armas Law, PLLC is seeking a driven and compassionate Immigration Associate Attorney to join our growing practice.

This role is ideal for an attorney who is passionate about advocacy, values client-centered representation, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of immigrants and their families. The ideal candidate will have experience in immigration law, be fluent in Spanish , and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work closely with a dedicated and supportive legal team on a wide range of immigration matters, gaining hands-on experience while developing your skills and professional judgment. Responsibilities

• Represent clients in immigration proceedings, including bond, asylum, deportation defense, and visa applications
• Attend USCIS and ICE interviews with clients
• Represent clients in family law and guardianship hearings
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
• Prepare clients for interviews and hearings
• Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders
• Stay current on immigration laws and regulations
• Assist with other legal matters as needed
• Assist with managing support staff and compliance work for suppport team Requirements:
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law
• Fluency in Spanish
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
