Key Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Insurance Verification & Claims Specialist checks patient insurance coverage, fixes coverage issues, reviews and submits billing claims, and updates patient insurance details in the system. ● Insurance Verification: Perform routine eligibility checks to verify patient insurance coverage prior to visits or procedures.

● Issue Resolution: Research and resolve any insurance eligibility issues or coverage discrepancies. ● Insurance Updates: Enter new patient insurance card details into the system and run eligibility verification. ● Claims Handling: Review medical claims for accuracy and submit them to insurance carriers for payment.

Requirements

1+ years in medical billing, patient access, or insurance verification. ● Skills: ○ Proficiency with payer portals and electronic eligibility checking tools. ○ Basic knowledge of medical insurance plans, coverage types, and claims submission processes. ○ Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
