Hostess/Server Assistant

Description About the Role: Come work at one of the nation’s Top 100 golf courses, set in the stunning Adirondack Mountains. Glens Falls Country Club is seeking a friendly, professional, and hospitality-focused Hostess/Busser to join our team. The Hostess/Busser will greet members and guests upon arrival, seat them and assign a server to the table.

The hostess/busser will also assist in setting, clearing and cleaning tables. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Managing bookings in person, over the phone, or online Providing waiting times to members who are not pre-booked Offering personalized service and assistance for large parties of members Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in the front-of-house area Assisting with the opening and closing of the restaurant Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery, and napkins from tables after diners finish eating Wiping up spills, food stains, and dirt from tables Straightening or replacing tablecloths as needed Replacing cutlery and glassware for new diners Refilling drinking glasses with water Bringing out meal orders when waitstaff are busy Cleaning the dining area at the close of the day BENEFITS & PERKS

• Paid time off Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to manage bookings and provide accurate waiting times Strong customer service skills, especially for handling large groups Knowledge of cleanliness and hygiene standards for front-of-house maintenance Basic understanding of restaurant opening and closing procedures Familiarity with the food and beverage menu Attention to detail in clearing and resetting tables Ability to multitask and assist waitstaff during busy periods Efficient in handling cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy dining environment Education and Experience: Must be at least sixteen years old (at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages). Previous experience as a hostess preferred. Must successfully complete restaurant training course. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
