Founding Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the founding team as its first engineering hire and help turn a working AI-powered service operations product into scalable agentic infrastructure. You will work closely with the founding team on core architecture and product development, with the opportunity to shape the technical direction as the company grows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and scale the product and its infrastructure to support substantial growth in users and usage.
• Design and operate the agent runtime, including orchestration, memory, verification, and systems that make AI workflows dependable.
• Own work across backend, infrastructure, frontend, and agent development based on the needs of the product.
• Set technical standards, make architectural decisions, and establish effective engineering practices.
• Ship improvements regularly to customers using the product in real business operations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 2 years of experience shipping production software, or an equivalent record as a founder or independent builder; exceptional early-career engineers are also encouraged.
• Experience building and operating LLM or AI agent systems used by real customers in production.
• Full-stack range across backend, infrastructure, and user interfaces, with the ability to take work from idea through delivery.
• Experience scaling software beyond a prototype, including architecture, data models, runtimes, or orchestration.
• Comfort making technical decisions in a small team and shipping to production frequently.
• Knowledge of agent orchestration, memory, evaluation, verification, or multi-agent workflows is valuable, as is experience with service businesses.

COMPENSATION

& BENEFITS Base salary is $150,000 to $250,000 USD annually, plus founding equity. Visa sponsorship and relocation support are available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, California, United States.
